In late January, Major League Baseball and Sony San Diego officially confirmed that MLB The Show 24 will be released worldwide on March 19. But, will MLB The Show 24 be available on Xbox Game Pass, much like it has been in previous years? The folks over at San Diego Studio have answered that question and those who have the subscription service will likely be pleased with the answer.

Status of The Show 24 on Xbox Game Pass
Yes, MLB The Show 24 will be available on Xbox Game Pass on the title’s worldwide launch date of March 19. Individuals who want to take part in early access beginning on March 15 with Xbox Game Pass can purchase the Digital Deluxe Add-On.
This was confirmed by the developers of MLB The Show 24 in late January 2024 when the first information regarding this year’s game was released.
In past years, MLB Advanced Media and San Diego Studio have allowed individuals to play the current installment of MLB The Show on Xbox Game Pass without the purchase of either the standard or deluxe edition.
And for 2024, that practice will continue.
For those unaware of Xbox Game Pass, it is a subscription service offered by Microsoft that allows players to access “hundreds of Xbox games” that can be played on the Xbox Series S or X.
Notable titles on the platform aside from MLB The Show include Starfield, Palworld, Minecraft, Assasin’s Creed Valhalla, as well as titles from the EA Play service.
There are multiple tiers of Xbox Game Pass, though. MLB The Show is available on the Game Pass for Console Ultimate tier, which costs $16.99/month.
Then, there’s Xbox Game Pass Core, which is the new name for the Xbox Live Gold service. It costs $9.99/month but MLB The Show is not available on the Core version.
This is the fourth MLB The Show title to be released on the Xbox family of consoles.
