Here’s a look at our best MLB bets for April 30 (odds via BetMGM New York Sportsbook):
- Andres Gimenez over 1.5 H+R+RBI (-120)
- Luis Castillo over 6.5 strikeouts (-125)
Andres Gimenez has been hitting well as of late, as the 25-year-old recorded multi-hit performances in his last two games. The Guardians infielder has hit over 1.5 in this category in six of his last 10 games, as he’s been a sparkplug in the #2 slot for Cleveland this season.
Gimenez will face the Astros and Hunter Brown, who’s struggled for most of the year. In his last start, Brown gave up four hits, two walks, and three earned runs on April 21 against the Nationals.
As for our second bet, Luis Castillo has struck out at least six batters in his last five outings, and seven or more in two of his last three. Castillo will face the Braves on the 30th, who have the fourth-worst Whiff% (28.2%) in the league and are still waiting for Ronald Acuna Jr. and Matt Olson to break out.
Still, Atlanta had no trouble scoring runs for most of the season, as the Braves are fifth in that category (150).
