It’s a light day of action, so why not go for a pick involving two teams at hitter-friendly Coors Field? The Rockies lost the first game of this series 5-0 thanks to a brilliant performance from Kyle Harrison, and these two teams went after it on May 8. Ten runs were scored during the first five innings on the 8th, as Michael Conforto went deep on Peter Lambert, who gave up seven runs over three innings.
It’s an interesting pitching matchup on May 9, as Keaton Winn will look to shake off a poor performance on May 4 when he didn’t make it through one inning against the Phillies. Winn doesn’t miss many bats, as he’s a pitch-to-contact arm who leans heavily on his splitter and sinker.
Winn will face Cal Quantrill, a fellow sinkerballer who’s pitched better on the road (.646 OPS) this season than at Coors Field (.785).
