It’s been a surge of late for Jac Caglianone, the Royals’ second-year hitter, who has turned a corner of late. However, if Caglianone is not available, there is another Royal to target on the waiver wire. Here is our Week 13 waiver wire hitter target list for fantasy baseball hitters in 2026.
Best Week 13 hitters to target
- 1B Jake Burger (Rangers)
- 1B Paul Goldschmidt (Yankees)
- C Carter Jensen (Royals)
- INF Brooks Lee (Twins)
- OF Daulton Varsho (Blue Jays)
We have several repeat players, meaning individuals who’ve been highlighted previously as hitters to own. One of those is Brooks Lee, on our Week 8 list.
Since May 17, when that list came out, Lee has quietly been one of the more productive power hitters across the Majors with seven home runs, tied for 21st among all players between the 17th and June 21. Yes, the batting average (.235) in that span has not been all that high. But for an individual who could hit 20-25 home runs this season, there’s good value there.
There’s also Carter Jensen, who was on our Week 10 list. Jensen is up to a 12-game hitting streak after he picked up two more on June 21 against the Cardinals, one of which was a home run.
It’s been a ride for Jensen this season, who went through some rookie pains but is now up to nine home runs in the regular season. And Jensen is scoring runs, notable as the catcher has been a mainstay as the leadoff hitter of late for the Royals.
Jake Burger is in the midst of an eight-game hitting streak, extended after two more on the 21st versus the Padres. Burger’s been more consistent this season in the power department, too, as his 13 home runs are three shy of what he picked up from all of 2025 (16).
Paul Goldschmidt (13.3% Barrel% since June 11) has been a revelation over the last month, with eight home runs since the middle of May. Goldschmidt has also been in the lineup every day, something that’s been much easier to do with Giancarlo Stanton on the IL.
Lastly, Daulton Varsho hit a massive home run in his return from the IL on the 20th versus the Cubs. He should be on the radar once more.
Overview of Week 12
Bryce Eldridge added another home run over the last week, as he continues to cement a regular role in his first full MLB season.
Royce Lewis went 3-22 (as of writing) over the last week but also picked up a home run and three RBI.
Zack Gelof continued to surge with six hits and two more home runs.
