For most fantasy players, Week 16 of the 2026 fantasy baseball season will be long. So, the strategy in H2H leagues will be different. Here’s a look at five pitchers trending up as Week 16 gets going on July 16.

Best Week 16 hitters to target

With most starters set for two-start weeks this week, the game plan is simple: grab good pitchers.

Jake Bennett was sensational over his final two outings before the break, as he posted a 1.23 ERA and struck out 10 over 14 innings for Boston. The Red Sox have had luck with three rookie left-handers this season between Bennett, Payton Tolle, and Connelly Early (IL).

Noah Cameron had the 11th-highest Whiff% (35.2%) from July 1 through the break, which helped result in 16 strikeouts over 12 innings. Cameron is scheduled to face the Padres this upcoming weekend.

Shane Drohan, who was on our Week 15 list, is worth holding on to for the immediate future. He didn’t pick up a win on July 11 but he did strike out six over 6.1 IP versus the Pirates. The lefty posted a clean 2.30 ERA over 27.1 IP over the last month.

A .77 ERA over Peter Lambert’s last two starts raised the righty’s stock once more. The Astros pitcher had a good swing-and-miss rate over that span, above 27%, and he should move on to a rotation spot unless there’s an implosion between now and the end of the season.

Walks hurt J.T. Ginn since the start of the month, as the righty had 10 free passes on his ledger over 14.1 IP. But still, there’s a lot of upside here, despite the fact that the Athletics have slid out of the playoff race. The swing-and-miss (30.6%) is proof of that.

Overview of Week 15

Hopefully, those who read our Week 15 list picked up Troy Melton, as the right-hander is likely gone in most leagues. Melton had yet another great start before the break, as the second-year righty struck out nine over 5.1 innings versus the Athletics.

Joey Cantillo, also on that list, is worth holding on to with the way the southpaw pitched before the break. Cantillo struck out nine Marlins in his final start of the first half.
