Week 19 of the 2026 fantasy baseball season presents a new opportunity for players. A young pitcher from Detroit is among the list of risers to lock in on, a list that also includes a second-year pitcher from St. Louis, plus two pitchers from the Diamondbacks.

Arizona will get the Rockies at home this week, and two pitchers are worth a look. One is Michael Soroka, who may be gone in most leagues but is worth looking for if he is available. Soroka will come off the injured list and take the ball on August 10 against Colorado.

Before the right-hander went on the IL, Soroka was on pace to have his best season since 2019. He struck out 79 over 82 innings, won eight games, and posted a stellar 3.07 ERA. If he keeps the K/9 and ERA at that same pace, it will be his best season since his rookie year seven years ago.

Mitch Bratt, meanwhile, has worked at least five innings in each of his last three starts. His last two outings, one on the road against Cleveland and his most recent against the Padres at home, were very good. On August 5, Bratt struck out nine, didn’t allow an earned run, and notched his first MLB win.

Hunter Dobbins will get a tough task against the Phillies on August 10. Dobbins performed well against the Yankees, and overall, pitched very well in two of his last three starts.

Dustin May struck out five over six innings and didn’t allow an earned run against the Pirates in his first start as a Brewer. He’s scheduled to face Robbie Ray and the Padres on the road on August 12.

Lastly, Jackson Jobe is the one you really need to hone in on. Jobe, who came back from elbow surgery on August 8, was dominant over five scoreless innings against the San Francisco Giants. While he didn’t elicit a ton of swing-and-miss in his rehab assignment, the velocity was on par with where he was in 2025, and the stuff looked right.

He has among the highest upside of readily available pitchers in mixed formats.

Overview of Week 18

Hayden Wesneski earned another win this week, this time against the Blue Jays. Wesneski, on our Week 18 list, struck out four and allowed two earned runs over six innings against Toronto. And for those who still have him, he’ll get the ball on the 10th against the Giants.

We noted that it wasn’t going to be an easy week for Ian Seymour, with two road starts scheduled. But he went six in both and notched wins in both. Not too bad at all.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t the best week for either Jared Jones or Joey Cantillo. Jones was hit hard against the Mets on August 9. As for Cantillo, who knows what could have happened if rain hadn’t hit Chicago and ended his start after one inning on the 9th.
