For some, Week 23 is set to be a triumph. And for others, it may be the end of the season for those unfortunate souls in H2H leagues. Especially if some key names didn’t come through at key times. Here’s a look at risers & fallers from Week 23 of the 2026 fantasy baseball campaign.

Risers

• OF Jackson Chourio (Brewers)
• SS Elly De La Cruz (Reds)
• SP Jacob deGrom (Rangers)
• SP Jared Jones (Pirates)
• SS Francisco Lindor (Mets)
• OF Jackson Merrill (Padres)

Francisco Lindor hit another home run on September 12, tying him with fellow shortstop Elly De La Cruz for most in the Majors over the last week. De La Cruz steamrolled against the Dodgers, continuing what’s been a very good run for the Reds shortstop. But Lindor also had a nice run of late.

Lindor has 15 home runs since the All-Star break, tied for fifth in the Majors. He’s also tied with Jackson Merrill, who also had a pretty good week. That kind of production casts aside any sorts of doubt that Lindor, who had a down start to 2026, was on the decline from both a real-life and fantasy perspective.

Jackson Chourio, hitting .308 with 10 home runs over the past two months, also did well. Arguably, his highlight was a two-run shot that tied it late against the Cubs on September 8. One day earlier, he played a pivotal role in getting the Brewers a late lead against their NL Central rival.

As for the pitchers, Jacob deGrom excelled against the Mariners, as he struck out 12 in a no-decision. Jared Jones struck out eight over seven scoreless innings, keeping the White Sox at bay in a pivotal start earlier this week.

Fallers

• SP Gerrit Cole (Yankees)
• SP Foster Griffin (Guardians)
• OF Daylen Lile (Nationals)
• 3B Jose Ramirez (Guardians)
• 1B/OF Kyle Stowers (Marlins)
• SS Trevor Story (Red Sox)

This has not been an easy year for Jose Ramirez. A hamate bone fracture, and what followed afterwards: a very sluggish second half. Since the start of the second half, Ramirez is slashing .214/.289/.270. That is problematic enough. What makes that even harder to stomach is the fact that the star third baseman has just one home run in that span.

Over the last week, Ramirez hit .091 (2-22).

As for others, Daylen Lile and Kyle Stowers each went 2-for-21. It was also a tough week for Trevor Story, who went 5-for-24 and didn’t record an RBI at all for the Red Sox.

Moving on to pitchers, the walls came crashing down on Foster Griffin against the Orioles this past week. Since the move to Cleveland, Griffin has a 5.94 ERA, showing far more weaknesses over this little stretch than he did in the first few months back stateside.

Gerrit Cole allowed seven home runs in his last two starts.
