Injuries continue to pile up for the Blue Jays, who added Nathan Lukes to the injured list on the 25th. Additionally, the Diamondbacks and Dodgers both saw key pieces leave games early on the day.

Perdomo leaves game

Diamondbacks shortstop Geraldo Perdomo left Arizona’s game on April 25 in Mexico City versus the Padres. He exited in the seventh after he attempted to field a groundball, and was bent over in pain afterwards.

Per the team, Perdomo suffered a left ankle sprain.

Muncy dealing with illness

Dodgers third baseman Max Muncy left the team’s win on April 25 versus the Cubs early.

Muncy was dealing with an illness, per manager Dave Roberts from earlier in the day (h/t California Post).

IL placements

The Blue Jays placed outfielder Nathan Lukes on the 10-day IL with a left hamstring strain. Lukes joins George Springer and Addison Barger as regulars currently on the Toronto injured list.

Reds third baseman Eugenio Suarez was placed on the 10-day IL with a mild left oblique strain. It is retroactive to April 23.

Yankees reliever Angel Chivilli was placed on the 15-day IL with right shoulder discomfort.

Rehab assignments

The White Sox had two rehabbers in Triple-A Charlotte. Austin Hays went 1-4 with a home run, while Chris Murphy walked two, hit a batter, and allowed three earned runs over 22 pitches (.1 IP) on the day.

Cubs pitcher Ethan Roberts allowed a hit and a walk over one inning for Triple-A Iowa.

Mets reliever Joey Gerber threw a scoreless inning for Low-A St. Lucie on April 25.

Other notes

Giancarlo Stanton (calf), Maikel Garcia (elbow), and Roman Anthony (back) did not play on the 25th. Guardians outfielder Steven Kwan was also a no-go, as he was scratched due to neck stiffness.

The Blue Jays transferred reliever Yimi Garcia to the 60-day IL.

Bennett Sousa (Astros), Keegan Akin (Orioles), and Zack Wheeler (Phillies) were activated off the injured list.
