Phillies outfield prospect Felix Reyes didn’t enter the year as one of the team’s top prospects. However, he was a notable one after a great run with Double-A Reading last season. Now, after a torrid stretch to begin 2026 in Triple-A, Reyes got the call to The Show.
Phillies select Reyes
The Phillies selected the contract of Phillies outfielder Felix Reyes on April 18, adding him to the 40-man roster.
Philadelphia makes the move months after the team opted not to protect him in the 40-man roster after what was a terrific season in Double-A (he was not taken). Reyes slashed .331/.362/.562 with 16 home runs and 54 extra-base hits over 101 games with Reading.
This season, Reyes hit .333 with six home runs and 14 total extra-base hits across 18 games with Triple-A Lehigh Valley. He’s ripped it up over the last two weeks, as Reyes belted 10 barrels (22%) in that span, most in Triple-A.
Reyes made consistent contact in Double-A last season, although the whiff (29% over the last two weeks) ticked up recently. Additionally, he had the lowest take rate (32.6%) in Triple-A during that span, a recurring theme. And, the highest chase rate (54.2%).
White Sox claim Bido
The White Sox claimed pitcher Osvaldo Bido from the Braves on April 18.
Bido worked out of the Braves’ bullpen over the first three weeks of 2026. The right-hander had an ERA north of 6.00, as he allowed seven earned runs over 10 innings.
