Rosters for the 2026 ALDS & NLDS were finalized on October 3, the start date for all four remaining series. Ryan Weathers, who missed the final month of 2026, is back & active for the Yankees. Aaron Judge, though, is not.
Weathers back for Yankees
The Yankees activated Ryan Weathers for the ALDS, adding another left-hander to the bullpen.
Weathers spent all of the regular season as a starter in the Yankees’ rotation. He was placed on the IL in August with a flexor strain and worked in bullpen & live BP sessions to work his way back.
As for who’s not active, Aaron Judge did not make it. Judge remains on the IL with a calf strain. Additionally, utilityman Amed Rosario was deactivated.
Vasquez replaces Buehler on NLDS roster
The Padres activated pitcher Randy Vasquez. Vasquez was not active in the Padres’ series against the Cubs.
He replaces Walker Buehler, who was added to the paternity list.
Other activations/deactivations
The White Sox activated pitcher Tyler Davis and took Huascar Brazoban off their roster.
Bo Naylor and Bryse Wilson did not make the Brewers’ playoff roster.
Guardians pitcher Slade Cecconi was kept off Cleveland’s ALDS roster.
Manuel Rodriguez and Casey Legumina are not active for the Rays.
