The Orioles picked up relief depth on May 4, as former Athletics, Yankees, and Phillies pitcher Lou Trivino signed with Baltimore. And speaking of the Yankees, former New York outfielder Randal Grichuk found a new home in Chicago.
Grichuk with White Sox
Randal Grichuk signed a Major League deal to join the White Sox.
Grichuk signed with the Yankees during the spring and landed a spot on the team’s active roster to begin 2026. However, he posted an OPS just over .500 and was DFA’d by the Yanks last week.
Trivino signs with Orioles
The Orioles signed reliever Lou Trivino to a Major League deal.
Trivino pitched well in Triple-A this season, where he struck out 20 over 13 innings with Lehigh Valley in the Phillies’ organization. He was released three days earlier by the Phillies.

The Red Sox selected the contract of Alec Gamboa and added him to the 40-man roster. Houston did the same with catcher Cesar Salazar.
