MLB The Show 23 will be released in just a few days, with several new legends making their return to the franchise. Among those new names including a superstar slugger from the Chicago Cubs, and one of the greatest New York Mets of all time.

On the official MLB YouTube channel, a new trailer for MLB The Show 23 highlighted some of new legends that will be joining the title for 2023. We already knew about Negro Leagues stars like Satchel Paige, John Donaldson, and Andrew “Rube” Foster, as well as Carlos Pena and Jake Peavy, but San Diego Studios also confirmed that a few other names.

Mets legend David Wright will be joining the MLB The Show 23 legends, marking the first time that he will be in the game since his retirement from the game in 2018. However, the most notable additions may be Sammy Sosa and Mark McGwire. Two of the most prolific home run hitters in the 1990s, both are somewhat surprising additions given their association with performance-enhancing drugs.

Those names will join Matt Cain, Ian Kinsler, and Chili Davis, the latter of whom was also confirmed to be in the game on March 20. MLB The Show 23 will bee released worldwide on March 28, with early access for those who purchase the Deluxe Edition beginning on March 24.
