How to vote for the 2024 MLB All-Star Game nominees: Voting explained

In early June, Major League Baseball opened up voting for the 2024 MLB All-Star Game, allowing fans of the game to choose which outstanding performers from the first half should go to Texas in July. However, be mindful that the voting process does involve two phases and certain positions can’t be selected. Here’s a breakdown of where fans can go to vote, plus how exactly it works.

When & where can fans vote for MLB All-Stars?

Voting for the 2024 MLB All-Star Game opened on June 5, 2024. Phase 1 will run from June 5 through June 27, 2024, while the second phase goes from June 30 through July 5, 2024.

MLB fans can go to the league’s official website to find the ballots for both the American and National Leagues.

How voting for the 2024 MLB All-Star game works

In the first phase of voting, fans will be able to vote for one player for every position in the 2024 MLB All-Star Game, including DH, in both leagues, plus three outfielders. Fans can vote five times a day up until June 27, 2024, at noon ET.

A write-in section is also allotted for each position.

The top vote-getter in Phase 1 in each league, one in the AL and one in the NL, will automatically get a starting position at their designated position.

Phase 1 winners

Yankees OF Aaron Judge and Phillies 1B Bryce Harper were the winners of the first stage. Both are automatically starters.

Phase 2

For the second phase, the top two vote-getters at each infield position and DH slot (unless decided by the first phase), and the top six outfielders from Phase 1 (four if an outfielder wins in Phase 1) will be the players eligible.

Individuals will be able to vote once a day during Phase 2. No pitchers are on the ballot, as per MLB tradition.
