A new ratings update went live in MLB The Show 23 and Diamond Dynasty on September 8. After a strong month by several of the game’s finest, a major ratings update seemed to be in store. And that proved to be the case, as a likely MVP candidate and a sensation in Seattle both received big upgrades.

Early September MLB The Show 23 Ratings Update
The latest MLB The Show 23 ratings update saw six players go Diamond in Diamond Dynasty. Those names were Brandon Woodruff, Francisco Lindor, Julio Rodriguez, Christian Walker, Bryce Harper, and Tyler Glasnow.
Woodruff jumped to an 87 OVR, while Lindor, “J-Rod,” and Walker are up to 86 OVR. Harper and Glasnow sit at 85 OVR.
Rodriguez is the most notable name, and he also received a 99 OVR Lightning for his performance in the month of August on September 8.
Among other notable upgrades, Mookie Betts went up +1 OVR after an incredible month of August. Betts, a candidate for the 2023 NL MVP, is up to a 96 OVR. Cody Bellinger (+2, 89 OVR), Corey Seager (+1, 89 OVR), and Jose Altuve (+2, 88 OVR) also received upgrades.
Among non-Diamond upgrades, Wilmer Flores received a +7 to 84 OVR. Trea Turner, who rebounded from a slow start, went up +3 to 81 OVR.
In the downgrade department, Max Fried, Pablo Lopez, Alexis Diaz, David Bednar, Kevin Gausman, and Zac Gallen all got pushed down to Gold status after previously being Diamonds.
Jose Ramirez (-2, 86 OVR) and Marcus Semien (-4, 85 OVR) also received downgrades.
