On September 8, the August Monthly Awards Program went live in MLB The Show 23. The prize for the program is a 99 OVR Julio Rodriguez, who had a mammoth month for the Seattle Mariners. Here’s how to unlock “J-Rod,” and all the other Monthly Awards cards.

  • Collect four 97 OVR and three 99 OVR August Topps Now cards (10 pts.) (OPTIONAL)
  • Complete Set 3 player exchange (10 pts.) (OPTIONAL)
  • Complete 22 Moments (44 pts. – 2 pts. each)
  • Stat Missions:
    • Tally 30 hits with August Monthly Awards cards (including Captain Gary Sanchez) (1v1 Ranked, Battle Royale, Events, Play vs. CPU, Mini Seasons, and Conquest) (5 pts.)
