During what was a busy news day on November 19, Major League Baseball announced details on special games that’ll take place during the course of 2026. One of those is the Little League Classic, part of what’s become MLB’s annual tradition to link the younger generation with the stars of today. Here’s information on when it’ll be held, plus the two participants.
When & where will the 2026 Little League Classic be held?
The 2026 MLB Little League Classic will be held in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, on August 23, 2026.
Since 2017, the league has traditionally contested a regular-season game at Bowman Field, home of the MLB Draft League’s Williamsport Crosscutters. This game has run alongside the Little League World Series (LLWS), meaning that players and coaches involved can watch a Major League game in a smaller setting.
It’ll be one of several speciality games held in August. Major League Baseball will also hold the Field of Dreams event a week and a half before the Little League Classic.
Which teams will participate?
The Atlanta Braves and Milwaukee Brewers will be the two teams involved in the event.
It’ll cap off a three-game series between the two teams. This will be a Brewers home game.
This will be the first time that the Brewers and Braves will be playing in the Little League Classic. However, it won’t be the first time that Atlanta will take part in a neutral-site game.
Last season, the Braves participated in the 2025 Speedway Classic against the Reds. The contest was originally scheduled for August 2. But thanks to rain, the teams couldn’t finish one inning and had to resume play a day later at Bristol Motor Speedway.
ESPN, the TV home of the LLWS, will be the network to broadcast the Little League Classic. This was confirmed when MLB announced new TV & streaming deals on November 19, 2025.
