On May 5, San Diego Studio dropped the first Monthly Awards Program for MLB The Show 23 and the first Lightning of the year. After a torrid start, Blue Jays 3B Matt Chapman received the 99 OVR Lightning, and several others received Monthly Awards cards for their strong month. So, how can you get all of these cards? A couple of notes on the tasks for the April Monthly Awards Guide. For one, the Event will be live until May 12. MLB The Show players can use Monthly Awards, Topps Now, and Live Series Players in it.
Second, the Topps Now cards are optional for this program. However, those who have all the 95 OVR cards from the April Topps Now Program will have an easier time completing this one.
