On July 25, Sony released the 6th Inning Program in MLB The Show 25. This will be the first Inning Program for 25 that will see three 99 OVR Bosses be released into Diamond Dynasty. And, all three should be viable. One is a Hall of Fame switch-hitter, one is a power-hitting second baseman, and the other is a MLB The Show legend (hint: MLB 20).

How to make progress

As always, Inning Program progress can be made by earning XP. XP can be earned via program bonuses, Conquest, and just playing Diamond Dynasty and other game modes.

Anyone who obtained all three 5th Inning Bosses can complete a collection to get 50,000 XP towards the 6th Inning. Go to ‘Collections’ to lock in the three bosses.

Exchanges are also back. Individuals can exchange any card not collected for extra XP:

  • I: 5,000 XP (10,000 Value)
  • II: 7,000 XP (14,000 Value)
  • III: 10,000 XP (20,000 Value)
  • IV: 13,000 XP (26,000 Value)
  • V: 15,000 XP (30,000 Value)

Also, there will be Drop Missions, much like the ones found in Ranked Multiplayer programs. However, the rewards for these are simply XP. For example, the first drop included five stolen bases (5,000 XP), record 50 strikeouts (7,500 XP), and 200 total bases (10,000 XP).

This is not a new concept. Sony San Diego utilized these types of missions back in MLB The Show 22 for Inning Programs.
