MLB The Show 25 Last Ride Program: How to get 88 OVR David Ortiz

Mike Mussina and David Ortiz had incredible “last rides.” Mussina won 20 games for the Yankees in 2008, while Ortiz cemented his legacy by leading MLB in OPS during the 2016 season. To commemorate those seasons, Sony released the MLB The Show 25 Last Ride Program on April 4. Two new Diamonds, one each of Mussina and Ortiz, are among the rewards.

To get 88 OVR David Ortiz in MLB The Show 25, one must get 50 Star Points in the Last Ride Program. Here’s a look at the reward path:

5 Points: 1,000 XP
10 Points: MLB The Show 25 pack
15 Points: 250 Stubs
20 Points: 1,000 XP
25 Points: 87 OVR Last Ride Mike Mussina and 2,000 XP
30 Points: 250 Stubs
35 Points: 1,000 XP
40 Points: MLB The Show 25 pack (x2)
45 Points: 2,000 XP
50 Points: 88 OVR Last Ride David Ortiz and 3,000 XP

How to make progress

To complete the Last Ride Program, one must complete a combination of Moments and Missions. Here’s a look at the tasks:

Complete Mussina’s three Moments (15 pts. – 5 pts. each)
Complete Ortiz’s three Moments (15 pts. – 5 pts. each)
Tally 10 innings pitched with Yankees pitchers (5 pts.)
Tally 15 hits with Red Sox (5 pts.)
Tally 500 PXP with Last Ride Series pitchers (5 pts.)
Tally 500 PXP with Last Ride Series hitters (5 pts.)

The PXP and stat-based Missions can be completed in any single-player or online Diamond Dynasty mode.

None of the tasks can be skipped, meaning the PXP Missions must be completed.
