The 2025 MLB Trade Deadline saw significant action across the baseball landscape. To reflect some of those changes, Sony San Diego launched New Threads 2.0 content in MLB The Show 25 on August 8. It included a brand-new program with two 99 OVR cards, plus a Conquest, Showdown, and updated Collections.

New Threads 2.0 Program

Here’s a look at the New Threads 2.0 program in MLB The Show 25:

There are several ways to attack this. However, the focus, initially, should be the Showdown and Conquest. One exclusive card is in Showdown (98 OVR Ryan Helsley), and six (97 OVR Taylor Rogers, Taj Bradley, Brock Stewart, Freddy Fermin, 98 OVR David Bednar & Ramon Laureano) are in the Conquest.

From there, one can attack the PXP Missions, which will likely be preferable to the Moments, as the Missions can be done in tandem with the Conquest.

Remember, there are plenty of options for the optional PXP Missions, including the Live Series cards for many of these options, the Spring Breakout De Vries, the Fire & Finesse May, and the All-Star O’Hearn.

Lastly, for the New Threads Missions, all cards for that series will work.

New Threads 2.0 Collection

Sony also updated the New Threads collection for MLB The Show 25, adding three more collection rewards. Here’s a look at the three, plus their attributes:

Mason Miller

These collection cards are an addendum to the existing New Threads collection, one that initially rewarded 89 OVR Santander, plus additional cards. All New Threads cards, including the ones released between March and early August, are a part of this collection.

Diamond Dynasty players need 43 New Threads cards for Miller, 55 for Castro, and 60 for Correa.
