On April 25, Sony officially added Baseball Hall of Famer Scott Rolen to MLB The Show 25 as a playable legend. In conjunction with the release, the Rolen & The Reds Program was added to the game mode. It allows players to get an 87 OVR version of Rolen, dating back to his time as a Red. Plus, it highlights two of his former teammates with Cincinnati, one of whom played with Rolen on multiple teams.
Rolen & The Reds reward path
Here’s the reward path for the Rolen & The Reds Program in MLB The Show 25:
- 5 Points: 79 OVR Last Ride Jim Edmonds
- 10 Points: MLB The Show 25 pack
- 15 Points: 5,000 XP
- 20 Points: MLB The Show 25 pack
- 25 Points: 5,000 XP
- 30 Points: 87 OVR All-Star Scott Rolen
- 35 Points: 5,000 XP
- 40 Points: MLB The Show 25 pack
- 45 Points: 5,000 XP
- 50 Points: 90 OVR Contributor Johnny Cueto

You’ll need these cards, especially when taking into account the three are necessary for the 99 OVR Scott Rolen that released on the 25th.
How to make progress
Here’s a look at the tasks for this program:
- Complete six Moments (30 pts. – 5 pts. each)
- Tally 500 PXP with 87 OVR Scott Rolen (10 pts.)
- Tally 750 PXP with Phillies players (5 pts.)
- Tally 750 PXP with Cardinals players (5 pts.)
- Tally 750 PXP with Blue Jays players (5 pts.)
- Tally 750 PXP with Reds players (5 pts.)
All PXP Missions can be done in single-player or multiplayer game modes within Diamond Dynasty.
One does not have to do all the Moments to get Rolen & The Reds done. Since there’s a cumulative total of 60 Star Points, two of the Moments can be skipped.
However, the Reds PXP Mission is one that will need to be done regardless, especially when taking into account the 87 OVR Rolen is a Reds card.
