Before Sets & Seasons took over MLB The Show in 2023-24, Sony San Diego traditionally rewards players who acquired all kinds of Legends & Flashbacks cards — and kept up with content releases — in Diamond Dynasty with special 99 OVR cards. The first of its kind for MLB The Show 25 launched on April 25, with the reward being a 99 OVR Awards Scott Rolen.
And on June 13, 99 OVR Ted Williams joined The Show.

99 OVR Ted Williams
To get it, one will need 24 vouchers, which can be claimed by acquiring either certain cards or acquiring a required amount of items in a specific card series.

This one will be exceedingly difficult, especially when compared to the Rolen one.
The required Spotlight cards went up from 12 to 48, while the Topps Now requirements doubled.
One of the 25 can be skipped.
99 OVR Scott Rolen
On April 23, a 99 OVR Gold Glove card of Scott Rolen, added into MLB The Show 25 on the same date, was added in as the first Legends & Flashbacks reward.
Rolen, a Baseball Hall of Famer, was added into the game as a playable legend in all modes on the same day.
To collect vouchers towards the 99 OVR Rolen, one must go to ‘Collections.’ Then, select ‘Legends & Flashbacks,’ and find the Scott Rolen box in the top-right hand corner.
Additionally, this is where other collections, needed to get vouchers, can be completed.

Some of these are not too bad, in reality. For example, one needs all six fully-evolved Cornerstone cards as of this writing. Those who’ve been playing since launch should have close to, if not, all of those.
Additionally, the 87 OVR De Vries, 88 OVR Sasaki, and 89 OVR Santander are all doable. However, to get De Vries, one must play at the Spring Breakout Showdown four times to get the four exclusive golds of Arjun Nimmala, Braden Montgomery, Cade Horton, and Cooper Pratt.
Realistically speaking, one will either need to have completed the Live Series Collection to do it on launch day, or have enough Stubs on hand to get one of the tougher parts to do.
The Standout Series requires five players, which at this point includes Yankees Live Series reward Paul O’Neill, Angels Live Series reward Don Baylor, AL East reward Darren O’Day, and the Chase Pack card of Jorge Posada. However, one of those can be skipped in lieu of the 90 OVR Kris Bryant from Mini Seasons and the 90 OVR Bob Gibson.
The All-Star Series includes multiple Chase Pack cards (91 OVR Utley, 90 OVR Devers, 90 OVR Reynolds), etc.
Also, there’s a 91 OVR Honus Wagner available through the 20th Anniversary Collection:
This Wagner will need all but one of the 20th Anniversary cards available in the pool. Two can be found in Diamond Quest, one in Mini Seasons, four in the Starter Program, and the rest either in the pre-order bonus pack and/or the Marketplace.
One of these can be skipped.
