There’ve been numerous bugs in MLB The Show 25 since its launch, either in the game when it was released or created in patches. One such bug involved Stadium Creator and the inability to use created stadiums in online games. That was believed to be fixed in the last update but wasn’t. Now, the development team is making another tweak to how created stadiums are used (or, in this case, not being used).
On The Show forum on May 8, the development team confirmed that for the time being, stadiums created through Stadium Creator will be unable to be used in ranked head-to-head matchups. This is being done temporarily until a fix is issued in a future update.
Should a player select a created stadium, it will default to either the other individual’s chosen stadium or Coors Field. If both players select a created stadium, Coors Field will be used.
This comes days after SDS released a major game update that addressed Stadium Creator in part.
From the release of MLB The Show 25 to the aforementioned update, stadiums made in past MLB The Show games — but ported over, since those stadiums were automatically moved over to 25 — could not be loaded & downloaded. It was designed to allow for said stadiums to be used in online play.
Nonetheless, the issues have persisted.
That update, which went live on May 2, also addressed other critical issues, including fixing an exploited bug within co-op in Diamond Dynasty and making tweaks to the G.O.A.T. difficulty.
In other MLB The Show 25 news, the 3rd Inning Program will be released on May 9. Additionally, the next installment of Weekend Classic will take place. As noted last week by the developers, this installment will see fixes to the leaderboard and ensure individuals are matched up against players in their division.
The last one matched up players by Ranked rating, rewarding individuals who smurfed down the ranked rating ladder.
