On June 13, Sony San Diego dropped the MLB The Show 25 Summer Series. It included a new program, Mini Seasons & Diamond Quest events, plus a brand-new collection, which is needed for the “big boy” one. Here’s a look at the content.

  • 20 Points – 250 Stubs
  • 25 Points – 3,000 XP
  • 30 Points – 91 OVR Summer Catfish Hunter
  • 35 Points – MLB The Show 25 pack
  • 40 Points – 250 Stubs
  • 45 Points – 4,000 XP
  • 50 Points – MLB The Show 25 pack
  • 55 Points – 91 OVR Summer Michael Toglia
  • 60 Points – MLB The Show 25 pack
  • 65 Points – 5,000 XP

How to make progress in program

  • Complete eight Moments (32 pts. – 4 pts. each)
  • Complete OPTIONAL Extreme Hot Streak Moments (75 pts. in total)
  • Program PXP Missions:
    • Tally 1,000 PXP with Summer Series cards (5 pts.) (REPEATABLE)
    • Tally 350 PXP with Doval (5 pts.)
    • Tally 500 PXP with C. Hunter (5 pts.)
    • Tally 350 PXP with Toglia (5 pts.)
    • Tally 350 PXP with Pena (5 pts.)
  • Summer Series Missions:
    • Tally 15 innings pitched with Summer Series players (5 pts.)
    • Tally 30 strikeouts with Summer Series players (5 pts.)
    • Tally 15 hits with Summer Series players (5 pts.)
    • Tally seven extra-base hits with Summer Series players (5 pts.)
    • Tally four home runs with Summer Series players (5 pts.)
  • Stat Missions:
    • Tally seven innings with primary relief pitchers (5 pts.)
    • Tally 30 strikeouts with starting pitchers (5 pts.)
    • Tally 10 extra-base hits with primary first basemen (5 pts.)
    • Tally 20 hits with primary shortstops (5 pts.)
    • Tally five home runs with primary right fielders (4 pts.)
  • OPTIONAL Pack Collections:
    • Collect 92 OVR Summer Chili Davis, Ke’Bryan Hays, Chris Bassitt, Carlos Pena, and Griffin Jax (30 pts.)
    • Collect 93 OVR Summer Matt Strahm, Sandy Alcantara, Jackson Holliday, and Eddie Murray (70 pts.)

A note on the Hot Streak moments. Those scale up by difficulty, as well as the number of points, for each one done. For example, the first will be three points, the second will be four, etc.

You do need to do the preceeding one to unlock the next one. However, once an Extreme Moment is done, it’s done and the points will be awarded.

You won’t need the Holliday or Mays to complete this collection.
