In 1998, Sammy Sosa set the MLB record for most home runs (20) in a single month. On May 30, 2025, the MLB The Show 25 team released the Twenty in June Program, a month-long grind, with the final reward being a 95 OVR Sammy Sosa. This program will be a cross between a traditional Assorted Program, and the Daily Moments Programs last seen in MLB The Show 21.

How to make progress
Here’s a look at the tasks for the Twenty in June Program:
- Complete Moments:
- 16 home run Moments (64 pts. – 4 pts. each)
- Missions:
- Tally 20 home runs (4 pts.)
- Tally 20 home runs with Cubs (4 pts.)
- Tally 1,998 PXP with Cubs (4 pts.)
- Tally 18 strikeouts with starting pitchers (4 pts.)
- Tally 20 hits with any players (4 pts.)
- Tally 21 RBI with any players (4 pts.)
- Tally nine home runs with any players (4 pts.)
- Tally two extra-base hits with right fielders (4 pts.)
- Tally two hits with primary right fielders (4 pts.)
The stat-based missions can be completed in most single-player or online game mode within Diamond Dynasty. Showdown & Moments are excluded.
Since this program is focused on Sosa’s home run barrage in June 1998, the Moments will reflect just that. Many of them required players to hit home runs. However, some require eight total bases in a game, while another requires three hits, including one extra-base hit.
Aside from that, there are Missions. Several of them at launch are Cubs-specific. Luckily, there are plenty of good Cubs cards, including several Live Series & Flashback Diamonds, to use.
Not all Moments and Missions are required. In total, there are 106 Star Points for a 100 Point Program.
SDS stated that Sosa was not available until June 30, 2025.
