The MLB The Show 26 team released the Rivalry Weekend Recap Program on May 20, which highlighted some of the games that took place during the branded weekend, which featured interleague rivalries and other intraleague matchups. Three of the series (Yankees/Mets, Cubs/White Sox, Dodgers/Angels) were featured in the content drop, which featured Topps Now cards for Cam Schlittler, Munetaka Murakami, and Shohei Ohtani.

How to make progress

Here are the tasks:

  • Complete eight Moments (24 pts. – 3 pts. each)
  • Complete OPTIONAL EXTREME Moment (10 pts.)
  • Stat Missions:
    • Tally three home runs with catchers (5 pts.)
    • Tally three home runs with left fielders (5 pts.)
    • Tally three home runs with first basemen (5 pts.)
    • Tally nine strikeouts with any Yankees pitchers (5 pts.)
    • Tally five extra-base hits with any Dodgers players (5 pts.)
  • PXP Missions:
    • Tally 2,000 PXP with Topps Now players (3 pts.)
    • Tally 4,000 PXP with Topps Now players (3 pts.)
    • Tally 1,000 PXP combined with TN Quero, Taylor, Murakami, and/or Schlittler (5 pts.)
    • Tally 10,000 PXP with any players (5 pts.)

There are not enough Points obtainable through the Stat/PXP Missions. So, at least some of the Moments are mandatory.

The Extreme Moment, by the way, is to hit six home runs with the Guardians in one game on All-Star difficulty.

Sony has also, for the most part, veered away from team-specific stat Missions. However, some of those are in this Program.
