Even though baseball season is just around the corner, gamers have yet to receive information regarding MLB The Show 24. That changed somewhat on January 18, when a central figure from last year’s game gave players an update on the status of the Negro Leagues and Storylines mode in MLB The Show 24.

Storylines and Negro Leagues Coming back to MLB The Show 24

Negro Leagues storyline MLB The Show 23

On Twitter/X, Negro Leagues Baseball Museum president Bob Kendrick posted that he was in San Diego in January to work on the second installment of Storylines for MLB The Show 24.

Kendrick stated that he “can’t say too much yet but what I can say is “it’s gonna be fire!”

This marks what is the first notable information regarding MLB The Show 24. Traditionally, San Diego Studio has released info on the next installment of the franchise in January. That may very still happen, given that SDS didn’t reveal the cover athletes and release date for MLB The Show 23 until late January of last year.

Last year, several Negro Leagues icons were profiled in the first season of Storylines. John Donaldson, Hilton Smith, Rube Foster, Martin Dihigo, Satchel Paige, Hank Thompson, and Jackie Robinson were among the players in Season 1.
