May 28 will feature a loaded slate of games across Major League Baseball. A doubleheader between the Dodgers and Mets will take place at Citi Field, while the Diamondbacks and Rangers will meet in Texas for the first time since last October during the World Series. Here are our best MLB bets for May 28.
Our best bets for May 28
Here’s a look at our best MLB bets for May 28 (odds via BetMGM New York Sportsbook):
- Griffin Canning under 15.5 outs (-150)
- Ryan McMahon over 1.5 H+R+RBI (-150)
Griffin Canning has yet to throw more than six innings in a game during the 2024 season. And in each of his last two starts, Canning’s yielded at least three walks and four hits.
Canning gets worked often by opposing teams, something to watch against a surging Yankees offense. Aaron Judge is batting .383 with 11 home runs in May, and don’t forget about Juan Soto or Giancarlo Stanton.
As for our second bet, Rockies infielder Ryan McMahon is on pace to have a career season. McMahon owns a .860 OPS and has 10 home runs on the season in just 53 games.
McMahon didn’t record a hit, nor a run scored during the Rockies’ win against Cleveland on May 27. However, he recorded 12 RBI, 13 runs scored, and 17 hits from May 11-27. He’ll face Triston McKenzie, who doesn’t miss many bats, in Coors Field on the 28th.
