With more than a third of the season in the books, Week 10 of the 2025 faantasy baseball season will start on June 2. The past week was an interesting one, as a top stolen base man was demoted, while — as one would expect — injuries continued to play a role in the landscape. Here’s a look at our best Week 10 hitter waiver wire targets in fantasy, for those who need extra help.

Best Week 10 hitters to target

Max Muncy, meanwhile, is a familiar name who had a tough April with 25 strikeouts over 86 plate appearances. But in early May, Muncy began to wear UV-protective glasses designed to help him better see at the plate. The results? Pretty good thus far.

Muncy belted five home runs and drove in 26 for the Dodgers, looking more like the version of him who dominated during the NLCS last October. And just over the last week alone, Muncy had three home runs and 11 RBI.

Meanwhile, one of Muncy’s former teammates in Chicago is thriving. Miguel Vargas, as I noted earlier this week, went from a top team to a major rebuilder and has gotten the ability to get regular playing time with the White Sox.

It’s worked out well for him, as Vargas picked up eight home runs already this season. No, Vargas shouldn’t be a regular on your team. However, he’s a valuable guy who can play multiple positions and hit for power.

Next up is Sal Frelick, who’s up to 11 stolen bases on the year. I mention him as an alternative for those who lost Chandler Simpson, recently demoted to Triple-A, in fantasy this past week. No one can replicate what Simpson offers on the basepaths but Frelick, who stole 18 bases last season and could eclipse that mark this year, is worth a look.

Lastly, two under-the-radar players: Carlos Santana and Matt Wallner.

We’ll see how long Santana continues the momentum after what was a very good May. Santana hit .316 with five home runs and 22 RBI, helping to keep the Guardians’ offense going throughout the month.

Santana’s been good for at least 20 home runs each of the last two seasons.

As for Wallner, he recently returned to the IL and picked up hits in his first two games back. Wallner is an incredibly intriguing hitter: plus bat speed, a pull-heavy approach, and major power potential. But, strikeouts are a problem in his game and likely will be over time.

Keep that in mind.

Overview of Week 9

Unfortunately, Nick Kurtz went on the injured list. Kurtz was dealing with a hip issue and ultimately will be out for the near future.

As for the other names from our Week 9 list, Brandon Lowe had a strong week with hits in all but one game. Marcelo Mayer and Carlos Narvaez had sour weeks but Mayer, with his upside, remains a good name to have.
