Week 12 of the 2025 fantasy baseball season will start on June 16. And with a new week comes new matchups and more intriguing options for fantasy waiver wire pickups. If you missed the boat on Jacob Misiorowski, here’s a look at five pitchers who could help out this upcoming week.

Best Week 12 pitchers to target

I’ll start with Mitchell Parker, one of the best spot starters for this week.

Parker will get the Rockies, the team with the highest Chase% (31.3%), on June 18. The left-hander is generally good at getting hitters to chase, as he’s done so 29.6% of the time this season on outside pitches, above the league mark.

That’s a good recipe for success.

Next up is Kumar Rocker, who’s back with the Rangers with Tyler Mahle on the injured list. Rocker had his best start of the season on June 15, as he struck out six over five scoreless frames against the White Sox.

Rocker still has premium stuff, despite the wonky numbers. And with not many high-end options available in most leagues, the 25-year-old is one of the few with high upside.

Clayton Kershaw has been on a roll of late. The 37-year-old struck out five over seven scoreless innings on June 14, the first time since June 2023 that Kershaw went seven in a game. Six days earlier, Kershaw struck out a season-high seven against the Cardinals and allowed just one run.

Obviously, durability is still at the forefront for Kershaw. But right now, Kershaw looks like a strong option in mixed leagues. No, he doesn’t throw hard and don’t expect him to; however, he can still hit the low-90s when he needs to.

But while the fastball hasn’t elicited a single whiff this season, its cutting movement, along with his signature breaking balls, have been giving him success this season.

The last starter on this list is Colin Rea, who threw six quality innings against the Pirates on June 15. Rea pitches very well at home (31 K, 3.57 ERA over 40.1 IP) and is worth a go this coming weekend against the Mariners at Wrigley Field.

Lastly, Calvin Faucher picked up three saves between June 1 through June 14. With Jesus Tinoco on the IL, Faucher remains the best option for saves in Miami.

Overview of Week 11

Week 11 wasn’t the best, at least off what happened last week.

Hayden Birdsong was set up for a win this past Thursday before the Giants’ bullpen blew the game. However, it wasn’t a good week for Eury Perez, Jose Quintana, and Griffin Canning.

Having said that, I still like Birdsong & Quintana, particularly the former. Birdsong’s proven to be an adept option, while Quintana is still an intriguing option for mixed leagues.
