We’ve reached the second half of the 2025 fantasy baseball season. There’s still a lot of runway left, and for those who need pitching help, we can help with that. Here’s a look at five pitchers — as we head into Week 14 of the 2025 season — who should be readily available in fantasy leagues, including an interesting prospect in Chicago and one of the best strikeout pitchers from June.

Best Week 14 pitchers to target

Twenty-three-year-old reliever Grant Taylor starts off the list for Week 14.

Taylor, a 2023 second-round pick with plus stuff who missed almost all of last year due to injury, forced his way up to the Majors after dominating as a reliever with Double-A Birmingham. He’s since grabbed firm footing in the late innings, as Taylor picked up two saves over his first eight appearances.

The White Sox right-hander has been nearly untouchable this season, thanks to a blistering four-seamer fastball with cut and carry that comes from an over-the-top arm slot. That pitch has caused a lot of ugly swings thus far, particularly up and out of the zone.

It’s been basically all he’s needed this season but he can also work in a curve and cutter.

Next up is Quinn Priester, the former top prospect who’s found his home in Milwaukee.

When Priester was acquired early in the year, I noted the Brewers, with a strong defensive infield, were a good landing spot for a pitcher with a heavy sinker and ground-ball tendencies. However, he’s also been able to get swing-and-miss action on his curve and slider, making himself an attractive fantasy option.

In his last start, Priester diced up the Rockies and struck out 11 over seven shutout innings. It was part of a month where he surrendered one or fewer runs in four of his five starts.

Michael Soroka, meanwhile, quietly had himself a strong end to June. The Nationals pitcher, from June 14-28, was tied for sixth in the Majors for strikeouts (24) over that span. In total, Soroka struck out 64 over 59.1 IP this season for Washington.

Soroka followed up on what worked for him as a reliever in 2024, doubling down on his four-seamer that helped rejuvenate his career and largely using the two-seamer to hem in right-handers. He’s been fine of late and may have put himself in a position to get attention from playoff contenders come July.

Eric Lauer is another starter who’s excelled in a new home. A journeyman lefty, Lauer’s given the Blue Jays needed help this year. During June, Lauer struck out 25 over 25.1 IP and owned a 2.49 ERA for Toronto.

Lastly, Simeon Woods Richardson gets the Marlins on July 2. Woods Richardson put up zeroes in two of his last three starts. Most recently, the right-hander struck out six over five scoreless innings against the Mariners last week.

Overview of Week 13

Will Warren continues to shove, meaning I hope you listened to my advice from Week 13.

Warren struck out seven over five scoreless innings against the Athletics on June 27, which pushed him over the 100-strikeout marker. The Yankees righty now has 103 on the season.

Chase Burns, meanwhile, struck out eight in his hotly anticipated debut last week.
