With another week of fantasy baseball in the books, it’s time to take a look at stocks. Many notable and, perhaps, some not-so-notable names had big weeks for the second full week of 2026. However, there have been several very familiar faces who have had down weeks and are looking to get back into form.

Risers

Kris Bubic’s excellence on April 10 was proof that A) the 2025 season was no fluke, and B) he remains a must-own pitcher in all formats.

Bubic was a slam-dunk pitcher in weekly leagues, as the Royals left-hander struck out 19 over his last two starts and may very well win some weeks on his own. It was also a very tidy week for Bubic, as he only gave up four earned runs over 12 innings.

Carter Jensen, another Royal, was tied for the lead in home runs over the past week with three, a good showing for him after he was benched a week ago for disciplinary reasons.

James Wood, who had an amazing first half in 2025 before his numbers dipped, is off to another good start in 2026. Three home runs and 11 hits for the hulking outfielder.

And for those who bit on Chandler Simpson, the speedster as of writing was one of six players with 20 or more hits in the season. His six stolen bases — and I expect more, to say the least — also put him near the top of that category, as well.

Lastly, how about Jordan Walker, who hit his sixth home run of the season on April 11 to put himself tied atop the league lead in that category?

Fallers

Michael Busch’s week was…not strong, to say the least.

Among players with 20+ at-bats over the last week, Busch was the only one not to have a hit. That is correct, a 0-26 slump for the first baseman who put up two productive seasons before 2026, and was one of baseball’s best hitters last season.

Also in a tight spot is Pete Alonso, who has gone 2-20 over the last week as of April 11. He’s still on one home run this season, although he’s far from the only notable hitter who’s dealing with a low home run total thus far.

Jose Ramirez, one of baseball’s best over the last decade, has also been down as far as his offensive numbers are concerned. Ramirez is batting .175 on the season with two home runs. And over the last week, like Alonso and Busch, no home runs and no RBI.

Munetaka Murakami has cooled off since the hot start, while we still await the Konnor Griffin explosion.

Lastly, Jesus Luzardo’s 6.23 ERA is gnarly as we approach the middle of April. However, some of those underlying numbers, including 26 strikeouts over 17 innings and a pace of fewer than one hit per inning, do lend some confidence that fantasy players should not worry too much about the lefty.
