The Braves have navigated through injuries over the past few weeks, including most recently to Michael Harris II. Now, the team will have to wait for news on Ronald Acuna Jr., who left the game against the Rockies thanks to a hamstring injury.

Acuna Jr. suffers hamstring injury

Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. left the team’s game against the Rockies on May 2. Acuna Jr. grounded out on a sinker and came up limping.

Per the team, Acuna Jr. is dealing with left hamstring tightness. Manager Walt Weiss stated that Acuna Jr. will receive an MRI.

Springer exits with foot injury

Just weeks after George Springer fractured his toe against the Twins in Toronto, the Blue Jays outfielder hurt that foot again against Minnesota. But unlike last time, it wasn’t off a foul ball.

Twins pitcher Connor Prielipp threw a backfoot slider that hit Springer on his left foot, the same one that suffered the toe fracture. He came out of the game after that pitch.

Manager John Schneider indicated that Springer will not play on May 3. The good news is that X-rays revealed no new damage to Springer’s foot (h/t Sportsnet).

IL placements

The Mariners placed infielder Will Wilson on the 10-day IL with a left thumb fracture.

Twins reliever Cole Sands landed on the injured list with a right forearm strain.

Rehab assignments

Reds pitcher Nick Lodolo struck out six over 4.1 IP (79 pitches) with Triple-A Louisville. The left-hander walked two and gave up five hits. He averaged 93 MPH on both his sinker and four-seamer.

Zach McKinstry went 1-4 with a strikeout for Triple-A Toledo.

Dodgers reliever Brusdar Graterol struck out one over a scoreless inning with Triple-A Oklahoma City. He averaged 95 MPH on his sinker, about three MPH off his past fastball mean.

Meanwhile, the Brewers saw Jackson Chourio exit during a rehab game with Triple-A Nashville. Chourio fouled a ball off his foot.

Yankees shortstop Anthony Volpe went 1-4 with a walk and two RBI.

Diamondbacks first baseman Tyler Locklear went 1-3 with a walk and an RBI for the team’s ACL affiliate.

Astros first baseman Christian Walker left the game on May 2 after he took a fastball to the head, one that fortunately hit his helmet. Walker stated that he intends to play on the 3rd.

Tigers second baseman Gleyber Torres exited due to side tightness.

Mariners catcher Cal Raleigh (undisclosed) was a late scratch for the team on May 2 against the Royals.

Nico Hoerner (neck), Yandy Diaz (oblique), and Brandon Nimmo (hamstring) all did not start on the day.
