July 3 was a tough day for several teams, two of those being the Padres and Mariners. Two Padres went on the injured list, while Mariners star outfielder Julio Rodriguez is now on the concussion IL.
Langeliers removed
The Athletics saw Shea Langeliers removed from the team’s contest on July 3 versus the Marlins.
Langeliers left with what appeared to be a hand injury, as he appeared to motion towards his thumb while talking with the trainer.

Yankees pitcher Carlos Rodon was put on the 15-day IL with left elbow inflammation.

Padres pitcher Randy Vasquez, who was hit in the ankle and then fainted on the way to the X-ray room on the 2nd, was placed on the IL with a right ankle contusion. Additionally, catcher Freddy Fermin was placed on the injured list with a head contusion.
Bennett Sousa (Astros) and Cooper Criswell (Mariners) were transferred to the 60-day IL.
