MLB The Show 23: How to complete the Moonshot Program

On August 18, San Diego Studio dropped the Moonshot Program in MLB The Show 23. Diamond Dynasty players can grind through this Other Program to get several Retro Home Run Derby cards, including a 99 OVR Kyle Schwarber. Here’s a look at the program as a whole.

How to make progress in Moonshot Program

Much like with traditional Other Programs, MLB The Show 23 players will need to complete a series of Missions, Moments, and a Showdown in order to obtain Star Points and complete this Program in full.

Here’s a complete look at the tasks:

  • Complete the Moonshot Showdown (15 pts.)
  • Complete the Moonshot Other Program Conquest (20 pts.)
  • Complete 10 Moments (20 pts. – 2 pts. each)
  • Collections:
    • Collect Kaiju Gleyber Torres (5 pts.)
    • Collect Incognito Yoan Moncada (15 pts.)
    • Collect Awards George Springer (20 pts.)
  • Complete 13 Missions:
    • Hit 20 home runs with Live Series players (1v1 Ranked, Battle Royale, Events, Play vs. CPU, Mini Seasons, and Conquest) (5 pts.)
    • Hit 20 home runs with Captain Series players (1v1 Ranked, Battle Royale, Events, Play vs. CPU, Mini Seasons, and Conquest) (5 pts.)
    • Hit 20 home runs with Switch hitters (1v1 Ranked, Battle Royale, Events, Play vs. CPU, Mini Seasons, and Conquest) (5 pts.)

    • Hit 20 home runs with players with less than 75 Power (1v1 Ranked, Battle Royale, Events, Play vs. CPU, Mini Seasons, and Conquest) (5 pts.)
    • Hit five home runs with Retro HRD Anthony Rizzo, Adam Duvall, Alex Bregman, Josh Donaldson, Corey Seager, Miguel Cabrera (1v1 Ranked, Battle Royale, Events, Play vs. CPU, Mini Seasons, and Conquest) (30 pts. – 5 pts. each)

The Torres, Moncada, and Springer cards are Events items. These Collections will be live until August 31.
