Ever since MLB The Show became available to Xbox owners in 2021, Sony San Diego has given players the option to play with others from different consoles or shut this option off entirely. But, how can MLB The Show 24 players manage crossplay settings? Here’s a quick breakdown.

How to enable & disable crossplay in MLB The Show 24

For most players, crossplay in MLB The Show 24 can be managed by selecting the profile (where one’s Xbox or PlayStation ID is located) on the top-left-hand side of the screen. Then, find the ‘Cross Play’ setting and select it to turn it on or off.

The crossplay setting can be found on the right-hand side of the ‘My Profile’ screen in the profile, as seen in the image above.

These directions do not, however, include Xbox owners. Xbox users must go through a different process. This is because, for the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, crossplay setting are managed via the account settings page.

To either turn crossplay on or off for Xbox, go to the Settings page and then select ‘Account.’ From there, click on the ‘Privacy & online safety’ page.

Then, select ‘Xbox privacy’ and ‘View details & customize,’ followed by ‘Communication & multiplayer.’

The crossplay setting can be managed via the ‘You can join cross-network play’ setting. However, be mindful that this setting will affect crossplay across all games played on Xbox and not just MLB The Show.
