On September 20, Sony San Diego dropped the MLB The Show 24 Mike Schmidt Evolution Program. It includes three versions of the Baseball Hall of Famer and is capped off with a 99 OVR Milestone Card. However, this program works more like a traditional one, rather than ones with stages we’ve seen in past MLB The Show games.

How to unlock 99 OVR Mike Schmidt in MLB The Show 24

To get 99 OVR Mike Schmidt and the other cards in this program, one will need 50 Star Points in the eponymously named Mike Schmidt Program in MLB The Show 24. Here’s a look at the program rewards:

How to make progress

Diamond Dynasty players must complete a series of Moments and Missions to complete the MLB The Show 24 Mike Schmidt Program. Here’s a look at those:

  • Complete Extreme Moment (9 pts. – hit two home runs and get four extra-base hits on All-Star) (OPTIONAL)
  • Complete Moments (x5) (20 pts. – 4 pts. each)
  • Complete Mike Schmidt Showdown (20 pts.)
  • Tally 150 PXP with 76 OVR Rookie and 94 OVR Standout Mike Schmidt in 1v1 Ranked, Battle Royale, Events, Play vs. CPU, Mini Seasons, and Conquest (8 pts. – 4 pts. each)
  • Tally 2,000 PXP with Phillies in 1v1 Ranked, Battle Royale, Events, Play vs. CPU, Mini Seasons, and Conquest (5 pts. each)
  • Tally 20 home runs with Legend (i.e. retired players) in 1v1 Ranked, Battle Royale, Events, Play vs. CPU, Mini Seasons, and Conquest (5 pts. each)
  • Tally 20 extra-base hits with Phillies in 1v1 Ranked, Battle Royale, Events, Play vs. CPU, Mini Seasons, and Conquest (4 pts. each)
  • Tally 20 hits with primary third basemen in 1v1 Ranked, Battle Royale, Events, Play vs. CPU, Mini Seasons, and Conquest (4 pts. each)
  • Tally 20 total bases with Rookie Series cards in 1v1 Ranked, Battle Royale, Events, Play vs. CPU, Mini Seasons, and Conquest (4 pts. each)

Doing the Missions and Showdown will save a lot of time. Those combined yield 40 Stars. From there, figure out which path is easiest for you, whether grinding with Phillies and the 94 OVR Schmidt in single-player modes like Conquest, stacking a team full of third basemen, or just passively unlocking the final few Stars needed.

This program will not expire.
