It’s a new year for MLB The Show 24 and Diamond Dynasty. But, there will be some returning features from past seasons. One of those is PXP Points, which can be very helpful for powering up Diamond Dynasty cards in MLB The Show 24. However, the way these upgrades work has changed a bit as compared to previous years.

Parallels in MLB The Show 24

Much like in past installments of MLB The Show, Diamond Dynasty players can obtain PXP and parallel cards in MLB The Show 24 simply by playing and accumulating stats in single-player and online games.

For hitters, getting plate appearances, hits, home runs, walks, and stolen bases are among the ways to get PXP. For pitchers, think strikeouts, innings pitched, wins, and saves.

However, the thresholds for moving up the parallel system have been lowered. Here’s a look at the updated thresholds.

  • Parallel I: 500
  • Parallel II: 1,000
  • Parallel III: 2,000
  • Parallel IV: 4,000
  • Parallel V: 8,000

For MLB The Show 23, Parallel V needed 10,000 PXP. For 24, that number has been lowered to 8,000.

What are parallel boosts?

For each parallel in MLB The Show 24, each player’s stat will increase by one point for each tier. Thus, a parallel V card will receive a +5 across the board.
