On September 19, Shohei Ohtani made MLB history when he became the first player to hit 50 home runs and steal 50 bases in a single season. To celebrate, Sony San Diego released a 99 OVR Milestone Shohei Ohtani in MLB The Show 24. And, it’s one earnable for free. All Diamond Dynasty players will need to do is complete a special program and recreate Ohtani’s 2024 campaign — sort of.

How to make progress
Like regular Other Programs, MLB The Show 24 players must complete a series of Moments and Missions. However, this one is significantly more streamlined compared to other programs, including the recently-released Mike Schmidt Evolution one.
Here’s a look at the tasks:
- Complete one Moment (10 pts. – hit one home run on Veteran)
- Hit 50 home runs with Diamond Dynasty squad in 1v1 Ranked, Battle Royale, Events, Play vs. CPU, Mini Seasons, and Conquest (20 pts.)
- Steal 50 bases with Diamond Dynasty squad in 1v1 Ranked, Battle Royale, Events, Play vs. CPU, Mini Seasons, and Conquest (20 pts.)
A couple of notes here. One, Diamond Dynasty players don’t need to do this with one specific player. Second, pick a high-elevation stadium or even a custom one (hint: Costsco) and get the home run done on a single-player.
Our best advice for the stolen base one is this: complete it primarily in single-player action and play on the lowest difficulty possible. Doing this will not only make it easier to hit home runs — a nice secondary benefit — but also make it harder to get either thrown out on a throw by the catcher or picked off. Generally speaking, getting a lead off first — important to get stolen bases — can be a pain on anything above Veteran.
We may receive a small commission if you purchase through this link.
This program will not expire.
