Even though we’re roughly six weeks away from the end of the 2025 regular season, MLB The Show 25 is inching closer and closer to its endgame cycle. Thus, big title updates will likely be passed in favor of next year’s title. The August 14 MLB The Show 25 title update is reflective of that reality. Most notably, tweaks in this update include a bug fix for the All-Star Showdown and new player models.
MLB The Show 25 patch 1.23 notes
Here’s a look at the patch notes for the August 14 update for MLB The Show 25:
General
- Fixed a bug where the incorrect pitchers threw during the Home Run Derby.
- The home and away teams will now be in the correct dugouts at Bristol Motor Speedway.
Diamond Dynasty
- Fixed a crash that could occur when playing the All-Star Game Showdown.
Updated Player Models
A few players will be updated after the content deployment on 8/14 at 12 PM PT.
- Joey Ortiz
- Gregory Santos
- Nolan Schanuel
- Cole Young
Overall, it’s a small update. This is also the second straight update in which the team focused on fixing a bug with Bristol Motor Speedway (more on that in a second).
One of the more notable updates here is the continued work towards updating player models. This time, only four players will get new updates, including sophomores Joey Ortiz and Nolan Schanuel, plus Mariners rookie Cole Young.
It should be noted that this is not the first update since the end of July but rather the first significant one since the one that went live on July 29.
Another one was deployed on August 1. However, that one had one fix, which was for the crowd size at Bristol Motor Speedway.
This update will go live at 7 AM ET for all consoles (PS5, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch).
