Just before the rollout of new content in Diamond Dynasty, a new title update will go live for MLB The Show 27 on August 28. This update, much like others that’ve gone live this year, will have a focus on updated player models. Additionally, it’ll come with a jersey glitch fix and a refresh for Diamond Dynasty co-op.

MLB The Show 25 patch 1.24 notes

Here’s the patch notes for the August 28 title update for MLB The Show 25:

General

  • Fixed a bug that could cause a freeze when playing with All-Star uniforms.

Co-Op

  • Updated default 84 OVR Gold players to 97 OVR+ Diamond players in Ranked Co-Op.

Updated Player Models

A few players will be updated after the content deployment on August 29th at 3:00 PM ET.

  • Ben Casparius
  • Edwin Diaz
  • Chase Dollander
  • Jack Dreyer
  • Hunter Goodman
  • Carlos Narvaez
  • Logan O’Hoppe
  • Pat Murphy (Brewers Manager)

Perhaps the most notable change is that Diamond Dynasty co-op is getting a slight overhaul, as we near the later stages of the game’s lifecycle.

Generally speaking, players have limited control over how their co-op team looks. That’s because only six hitters are allowed to be brought to a team in 2v2 co-op, with the rest of the players on the roster filled by default cards.

Instead of 84 OVR cards, those will be upgraded to Diamonds.

Additionally, player model updates will go live on August 29 at 3 PM ET. Among the players who will get updates are rookie pitchers Ben Casparius and Chase Dollander, plus Mets closer Edwin Diaz.

This is the first update for MLB The Show in two weeks. It’ll go live for all platforms on August 28 at 7 AM ET.
