Just before the latest content update on June 20, the MLB The Show 25 team will release a new title update on the same day. This one is minor as far as tweaks that’ll be made. However, one significant addition is coming for those who are among the best in Diamond Dynasty. SDS will remove G.O.A.T. difficulty from online play as of this update.
MLB The Show 25 June 20 patch notes
Here’s a look at the patch notes for the MLB The Show 25 June 20 title update:
Diamond Dynasty
- Difficulty changes made for Ranked and Weekend Classic. G.O.A.T. difficulty tiers will now be Legend difficulty.
Updated Player Models
- JJ Bleday
- Michael Kelly
- Tarik Skubal
- Forrest Whitley
Updated Equipment Models
- Evoshield Sliding Mitt 2.0
Very little is changing, aside from new face scans and cosmetic additions. Namely, on that end, four new player model additions. One of those is of 2025 AL Cy Young winner Tarik Skubal.
The most notable change is G.O.A.T. difficulty going away in Ranked 1v1 play. This difficulty was added into The Show 25 and was only accessible in games involving players who achieved 1000+ rating during a season.
G.O.A.T. difficulty has been tuned several times this year, thanks to incredibly small PCI sizes, fast velocities, making it incredibly difficult to generate offense on the difficulty. The development team did increase the size of the PCI last month and even reduce penalties for low and away pitches.
Moving forward, 1000+ rating games in Ranked 1v1 and Weekend Classic will be on Legend difficulty.
It’s also worth noting it’s the second time in a week SDS has released a title update. The June 20 update, which goes live at 7 AM ET for all platforms, came four days after the last one.
