To celebrate Lou Gehrig Day on June 2, the MLB The Show 25 released a familiar program. Much like in past years, Sony San Diego dropped the Lou Gehrig Day Program, with the final reward being a 92 OVR card featuring the Iron Horse. Here’s a look at the rewards included in it, plus how to make progress.

How to make progress
And now, a look at the tasks for this program:
- Complete four Moments (20 pts. – 5 pts. each)
- Complete Stat Missions:
- Tally 10 hits with primary first basemen (5 pts.)
- Tally four extra-base hits with primary first basemen (5 pts.)
- Tally four extra-base hits with Yankees (5 pts.)
- Tally 400 PXP with Yankees (5 pts.)
All stat missions can be completed in either single-player or online play.
This isn’t meant to be a long program. The four moments are relatively easy ones, as players are only required to get a hit, tally two hits, and one extra-base hit in three separate ones. Additionally, you’ll have to throw one inning and get one strikeout with Chris Sale, the 2024 Lou Gehrig Award winner.
All of those moments are on Veteran difficulty.
Aside from those, stack a team full on first basemen and Yankees to get the missions done. For those who’ve get to get TA Luis Gil yet, it’s a good opportunity to make progress towards that with this program.
None of the moments and missions can be skipped.
