Days after the release of Lightning Corbin Carroll & Carlos Santana in MLB The Show 25, the first May Spotlight Drop — Drop 1 — went live on May 9, 2025. Drops that covered May released on a weekly basis up until June 6, when SDS released the final month & the Lightning for the month: a 94 OVR Tarik Skubal. Here’s a look at the drops.

Lastly, the Lighting and Retro Collections are back for May Spotlight.

The Lightning for May, as noted in the intro, is a 94 OVR card of Tigers ace Tarik Skubal.

You’ll need to get 10 Spotlight cards in packs to get the Retro Lightning Harper, and all the Spotlight cards from the drops to unlock the May 2025 Lightning Skubal.
