In late July, the baseball world lost Hall of Famer Ryne Sandberg, as the Cubs legend lost his battle with prostate cancer. To celebrate his legacy, Sony released the Ryne Sandberg Program in MLB The Show 25 on August 1. It includes several nods to #23, and at the end, a 99 OVR card featuring the Hall of Fame second baseman.

- Stat Missions:
- Tally 23 hits with primary second basemen (2 pts.)
- Tally 23 hits with Cubs (2 pts.)
- Tally 2,300 PXP with Cubs (2 pts.)
- Tally 23 home runs with any players (2 pts.)
- Tally 23 stolen bases with any players (2 pts.)
The stat Missions can be completed in the vast majority of single-player or online modes within Diamond Dynasty, with Moments & Showdowns being the exceptions.
Even though there are 24 pts. available, none of the Missions or Moments can be skipped. Thus, it’d be wise to load up on teams filled with Cubs and fast players to get these missions done. Any Pete Crow-Armstrong card seems like a good choice.
