MLB The Show 25 Yu Darvish Evolution Program: Rewards & how to make progress

On July 1, the MLB The Show 25 team dropped a Yu Darvish Evolution Program in Diamond Dynasty. This program is somewhat different compared to the Cornerstone Evolutions, as the final reward is a 95 OVR card on par with the meta. Not to mention, there are two cards needed to use to get the 95 OVR version.

5 Points: MLB The Show 25 pack
10 Points: 250 Stubs
15 Points: 85 OVR Rookie Yu Darvish
20 Points: MLB The Show 25 pack
25 Points: 3,000 XP
30 Points: MLB The Show 25 pack
35 Points: 90 OVR Veteran Yu Darvish
40 Points: 3,000 XP
45 Points: MLB The Show 25 pack
50 Points: 4,000 XP
55 Points: MLB The Show 25 pack
60 Points: 250 Stubs
65 Points: 5,000 XP
70 Points: MLB The Show 25 pack
75 Points: 95 OVR Standout Yu Darvish and 3,000 XP

Here’s a look at the three versions of Darvish. The highest version is the 95 OVR Standout Series card.

One of three is a Rookie Series Darvish, which should help with the “big” Collections.

How to make progress

Here’s a look at the tasks:

Complete three Moments (15 pts. – 5 pts. each)
Complete OPTIONAL Extreme Moment: Throw a perfect game & strike out 14 batters in one game on Veteran difficulty (20 pts.)
85 OVR Darvish Missions:
- Tally two wins with Rookie Darvish (5 pts.)
- Tally six innings pitched with Rookie Darvish (5 pts.)
- Tally 10 strikeouts with Rookie Darvish (5 pts.)
- Tally 500 PXP with Rookie Darvish (5 pts.)
90 OVR Darvish Missions:
- Tally four wins with Veteran Darvish (5 pts.)
- Tally 12 innings pitched with Veteran Darvish (5 pts.)
- Tally 20 strikeouts with Veteran Darvish (5 pts.)
- Tally 750 PXP with Veteran Darvish (5 pts.)
Stat Missions:
- Tally 30 innings pitched with any Yu Darvish player card (5 pts.)
- Tally 2,000 PXP with any Yu Darvish player card (5 pts.)
- Tally 39 innings pitched with any starting pitcher (5 pts.)
- Tally 44 strikeouts with any starting pitcher (5 pts.)

The stat missions can be completed in most single-player or online game mode within Diamond Dynasty. Showdown & Moments are excluded.

As far as strategy goes, the plan should be to do the three Moments and then work on the missions. This is a grind Program and realistically, it might be better off to do it passively. Meaning, use the 85 OVR & 90 OVR Darvish in Mini Seasons/Conquest and polish off the other non-Darvish missions in another game mode.

Also, one might want to wait until the 5th Inning, at least for those who don’t need the XP right away.
