For the second straight year, the MLB The Show 26 team released the Moonshot Series for Diamond Dynasty. This time around, though, it was launched in mid-September and came with a bunch of 99 OVR cards with custom, high-power builds. Headlining the release is 99 OVR Mickey Mantle, the big collection reward.

How to make progress

• Tally one home run in any game mode (10 pts.)
• Moonshot Moments (30 pts. – 3 pts. each)
• OPTIONAL Higher Gravity Moments (60 pts. – 6 pts. each)
• Moonshot Program Missions:
  • Tally 1,000 PXP with Moonshot Series pitchers in any game mode (5 pts.)
  • Tally one home run with any Moonshot player from this program (5 pts.)
  • Tally 2,000 PXP with Moonshot players from this program (10 pts.)
  • Tally 10 home runs with Moonshot players from this program (10 pts.)
• Moonshot Series Missions:
  • Tally five home runs with Moonshot Series players (5 pts.)
  • Tally 10 home runs with Moonshot Series players (5 pts.)
  • Tally 20 home runs with Moonshot Series players (10 pts.)
  • Tally 5,000 PXP with Moonshot Series players (10 pts.)

Some notes here:

• Moonshot Series pitchers can be obtained in the pack in the beginning of this program.
• The Higher Gravity Moments are on Hall of Fame difficulty. You must hit a home run with a player from this program (there are 10 in total) to get it done.

Additionally, there are IP and HR Missions for Moonshot Series players that can be done through the Moonshot III Event, which expires on 9/25.

Collection

Here’s a look at the two collection rewards for the Moonshot Series, Craig Biggio and Mickey Mantle:

You’ll need 23 Moonshot cards for Biggio, and 36 for Mantle.

As far as spread is concerned, more than half are in packs. Ten are in the Moonshot Bronze Pack that can be acquired at the start of the aforementioned Program. As for the other 15, those are in packs obtainable through the store, Deluxe/Premier/Ultra, and/or Diamond Quest.
