Every year, MLB The Show Diamond Dynasty features cards released in current and past editions of Topps. However, the card designs mainly revolved around base cards from Flagship, Stadium Club, and Heritage. But on October 14, the MLB The Show 26 team added 12 new 99 OVR cards, four from three separate inserts (Autumn Ascension, Black & Gold, Heavy Lumber) in the 2026 Topps Update Series.

Autumn Ascension Program
First, a look at the Autumn Ascension Program in MLB The Show 26:
- 5 Points: MLB The Show 26 pack
- 10 Points: 99 OVR Autumn Ascension Trey Yesavage & 1,000 XP
- 15 Points: MLB The Show 26 pack (x3)
- 20 Points: 99 OVR Autumn Ascension JJ Wetherholt & 2,000 XP
- 25 Points: MLB The Show 26 pack (x5)
- 30 Points: 99 OVR Autumn Ascension Konnor Griffin & 3,000 XP
- 35 Points: MLB The Show 26 pack (x5)
- 40 Points: 99 OVR Autumn Ascension Julio Rodriguez & 4,000 XP

How to make progress
- Tally 500 PXP with any Trey Yesavage card (10 pts.)
- Tally 500 PXP with any JJ Wetherholt card (10 pts.)
- Tally 500 PXP with any Konnor Griffin card (10 pts.)
- Tally 500 PXP with any Julio Rodriguez card (10 pts.)
- Tally 500 PXP with any Bobby Witt Jr. card (10 pts.)
All three of these programs have a familiar pattern: using either another version of the player that is included or a team/position-specific Mission. In the cases of Autumn Ascension and Black & Gold, only featured players will work towards progress.
Konnor Griffin & JJ Wetherholt have Spring Breakout cards, making those two perhaps the easiest to complete. Julio Rodriguez, aside from his Live Series, had a WBC card that was in a Chase Pack.
One last thing: Bobby Witt Jr. is the key to all three. There is a 10-point Mission for PXP with any Bobby Witt Jr. card in Diamond Dynasty. Use either his Live Series or the one from the Takeover released in May.
