Recapping Week 18 of the 2026 MiLB Season

It was the same old for several notable prospects down in the Minors this past week. But it was also brand new for some, as several 2026 MLB Draft picks played their first games at the pro ranks during Week 18 of the 2026 Minor League season.

First 2026 pro debuts

Finally, we saw some prospects drafted from the 2026 MLB Draft make their pro debuts. Actually, it wasn’t that long — although it might have felt that way for some college players who had their amateur careers end on sour notes.

Vahn Lackey played his first games with Fort Myers this past week. The Twins’ top pick picked up four hits and stole two bases, and also threw three runners out. Carson Tinney, also drafted by Minnesota in the second round, hit his first career pro home run.

The Red Sox had Jake Schaffner and Owen Hull make their pro debuts. Schaffner, the 21st overall pick out of UNC, went 3-for-8 with four RBI for High-A Greenville. He was joined by second-round pick and Tar Heel teammate Owen Hull, who racked up five hits. He also drove in four runs.

Aiden Robbins drove in three runs and picked up five hits for Low-A St. Lucie. Kuhio Aloy, drafted in the 11th round by the Mets, went 0-for-8 in St. Lucie to begin his career.

Former UCLA outfielder Will Gasparino, a fifth-rounder by the Phillies, went 1-for-5 in Low-A Clearwater. His lone hit was his first pro home run.

We’ll be able to add at least one more name to the list of debuted 2026 MLB Draft picks. The Winston-Salem Dash, the High-A affiliate of the White Sox, announced this past weekend that Roch Cholowsky was assigned to the team and is set to debut this week.

Ingle explodes

After a brief stint in the Majors, Cooper Ingle is back in Triple-A Columbus — and hitting.

Ingle tied with Oswaldo Cabrera for the most hits (13) in the International League over the last week, as he slashed .520/.552/.960 on the week. The catcher/outfielder drilled three home runs and drove in 10.

Made continues to impress

At the age of 19, Jesús Made is doing what 21-, 22-, and 23-year-old players at the Double-A level struggle to do.

Made led the Southern League over the last week with 12 hits for Double-A Biloxi, a week that also saw him crack three home runs. Overall, Made has 106 hits over 91 games, 13 of which were home runs. Plus, 29 stolen bases on the year.
