Dates for the 2024 NCAA College World Series
Per the official NCAA website, the start date for the 2024 College World Series is June 14 and the event will run until June 24.
The College World Series will include the final eight college baseball teams that are left after the NCAA Super Regionals, which features 16 teams in a best-of-three format.
Traditionally, the College World Series has been held in mid-June. Thus, this timeline holds up with historical precedent.
The CWS has been traditionally held in Omaha, Nebraska and that will yet again be the case in 2024. Charles Schwab Field in Omaha will host all the games in the 2024 College World Series.
Last year, the LSU Tigers won the College World Series after defeating the Florida Gators in the final to claim the 2023 NCAA Division I baseball championship.
What about the NCAA Selection Date and Regionals?
The teams that are named participants in the 2024 NCAA Tournament will be confirmed on May 27 after the conclusion of the regular season, which began on February 16, and postseason conference tournaments.
Postseason conference tournaments are scheduled for the week before the selection date for the 2024 NCAA Tournament.
From there, the NCAA Regionals will be held from May 31-June 3 at the selected hosts. Super Regionals will take place from June 7-10.
